Raj Bhavan in Guwahati has been renamed to ‘Lok Bhavan, Assam’ following a directive from the 2024 Governors’ Conference and a Memo from the Ministry of Home Affairs dated November 25, 2025, which requested that governors’ offices be referred to as ‘Lok Bhavan’ instead of ‘Raj Bhavan’.
